The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Stephanie
- It’s nice to be actively rooting for two movies that appear to be frontrunners: The Descendants and The Artist.
- It’s a change from last year when I was championing a movie four other people cared about.
- But I’m not sure how I’ll handle any negativity about these movies because both of them affected my heart in very different, but very strong ways.
- So maybe last year was better. There was no negative talk because there was no talk.
- I follow people who love George Clooney and people who hate George Clooney. You should put your “Clooney as a person” feelings aside for The Descendants because he disappears in that role and he is amazing. The scene with his wife near the end has still stuck with me.
- I think I have more feelings about The Descendants. It was an amazing script and every performance was exceptional, especially from Shailene Woodley, the girl from that stupid teen pregnancy show.
- Maybe I want The Descendants to win. But The Artist would be wonderful too.
- If The Muppets doesn’t get a single Best Original Song nomination, I will set things on fire.
- I just really want Melissa McCarthy to be nominated and to win an Oscar.
